Venues

Exchange your vows al fresco on our lush lawn, with its commanding views of the Hudson River, followed by a reception for up to 120 in the Highlands Ballroom; housed in the former convent chapel, it boasts soaring ceilings, stained-glass accents and abundant natural light. Other venues include the Cornerstone Room and the Cellar Tasting Room, as well as Apropos, our farm-to-table restaurant.

The Highlands Ballroom

The Highlands Ballroom is the hotel’s crown jewel indoor wedding venue, but you’ll find a series of additional spaces to complete your wedding weekend just how you want it.

The Grand Terrace

Enjoy a beautiful seasonal tented cocktail hour or ceremony on the Grand Terrace as a separate function or in conjunction with the adjacent Highlands Ballroom.

The Cornerstone Room

742 SQ FT, Capacity - 50

The Cornerstone Room at The Abbey Inn, located in the former convent, is the perfect venue for smaller events or a more intimate wedding. This beautiful 742 square-foot room, adorned with historic hand painted ecclesiastical wall coverings and stained-glass windows, complimented with contemporary lighting, creates a one-of-a-kind memorable space.

The Abbey Inn and Spa is a historic wedding venue just one hour north of New York City in the spectacular Hudson Highlands, overlooking the Hudson River. Our culinary team specializes in creating Mediterranean-inspired menus to make your wedding memorable. Attention to detail will ensure that your special day will receive fine food and attentive service. Your guests will enjoy the architecture and warm interior décor with many stunning photo opportunities.

Note: we do not offer private menu tastings, but we do invite you to enjoy a complimentary dinner in our award-winning Apropos Restaurant to sample our Chef’s fabulous cuisine

Deposits & Policies

A non-refundable deposit of $5000.00 at the time of confirmation. The remaining balance will be paid in Three installments; Second deposit of 25%, Third deposit of 25%, and the remaining balance is due One month prior to your wedding. Weddings booked less than one year prior to your wedding date, a 50% non-refundable deposit is due at time of confirmation and the remaining balance paid in full One month prior to your wedding date.

Deposits & Policies

The Abbey Inn & Spa operates by minimum food and beverage requirements as noted below. The final event cost is based on either the total of all per person costs multiplied by the final guest count, plus any additional one-time charges or the minimum event price noted below, whichever is greater.

All Saturdays, May through October & Holiday Sundays - $30,000.00 Food & Beverage Minimum

Friday and Sundays, May through October - $25,000.00 Food & Beverage Minimum
(100 Guest Minimum at Gold Package Pricing)

Saturdays November and December - $20,000.00 Food & Beverage Minimum

Friday and Sundays, November and December - $16,000.00 Food & Beverage Minimum

Facility Fee: $3,800.00
Ceremony Fee: $900.00
Optional Dedicated Butler for up to Five hours of service $250.00
